Simple endive and ham gratin

Very simple endive-ham gratin Ingredients: 6 slices of - ham - 200 g of - grated cheese (Gruyère or Emmental) - 5- endives (= 1 kg) - 1- shallot drop of - lemon juice.
Utensils: 1 Gratin dish - 1 Oven - 1 knife - 1 vegetable peeler - 1 frying pan - 1 set of 3 frying pans - 1 lid - 1 wooden spoon - 1 grater - 1 dish -

Phase 1
Preheat the oven to 210°C (thermostat 7).


Phase 2
Remove the ends of each endive, cut it into quarters, remove the heart (which is bitter) and cut it into pieces; peel and slice the shallot.


Phase 3
In a frying pan, brown the shallot in a little oil, then add the endives and a few drops of lemon juice.


Phase 4
Cover and simmer over low heat for around 15 minutes (the endives should become translucent).


Phase 5
Mix from time to time and add a little water if necessary.


Phase 6
Pour the endives into a gratin dish (removing excess water if there is any).


Phase 7
Cut the slices of ham into small squares (about 4 cm per side) and spread them over the endives to make an even layer.


Phase 8
Add the grated cheese.


Phase 9
Cook in a hot oven for around 15 min.


Phase 10
Enjoy straight out of the oven.
